P&G Everyday Solutions...

Proctor and Gamble do a cool little e-newsletter that they send out if you sign up for an account. It has information on their new products, articles on all sorts of things, and my favorite part... coupons and samples available at the click of a mouse.

You see, once you have signed up they have all of your information, so you simply check any samples or coupons that you want and they send them to you. It doesn't get any easier to save on your favorite P&G brands. Click HERE to sign up.

Also, as a heads up, the August 2nd Sunday coupons will include over $96 of P&G coupons. Did you know that you can get an early addition of the Sunday Salt Lake Tribune & Deseret News at Walmart now on Saturday? You get both papers, each with their own set of coupons (that is two sets) for $2! If you already get a subscription delivered at a good price, this is a great way to pick up extra sets of coupons without breaking the Sabbath! :)

When was the last time you...

...pulled out your refrigerator and freezer, cleaned underneath and vacuumed around the coils and vents? Did you know that built up dust and debris can cause your appliances to work much harder than necessary costing you extra bucks on your utility bill? Not only that, but you risk your appliances over heating and burning out much sooner than they should. So start lowering your electricity bill and lengthen the life of your appliances by cleaning your refrigerator and freezer at least once every six months or so. :)

Cell Phone Ringtones...

My kids have been nagging me to death about ring tones for the past couple of years. I have stood firm. I am NOT paying $1.99-$3.99 for a portion of a song I already own so it can be played back to them every time some one calls. First of all, they are going to be sick of it in about 2 weeks and want another one... and second, I'M JUST NOT PAYING FOR IT!

Last month in Woman's Day Magazine, I came across the names of two free sites that offer free ring ones and/or the ability to make your own ringtones using music on your computer that you already have! I decided to check them out and was pleasantly surprised... my kids on the other hand were ecstatic.

The first is phone.zoo.com. Here you can find all kinds of sounds and theme songs from movies/TV. Just create a free account and have them send the sound straight to your phone, then open the message, go into the options and choose "set as ringtone" or whatever the equivalent is on your phone. I downloaded the Spongebob theme song for my kids, various football theme songs for my hubby, and Bella's lullaby for myself.

The other site requires a little more effort, but was worth it to me. It is myxer.com. They have ringtones that you can download, but my favorite part is being able to upload your favorite MP3 and make your own ringtone with your favorite part of the song. It guides you through the simple steps and sends it right to your phone. I created Love Story for my daughter, Blink 182 for my husband and son and Halo for me all in the matter of minutes.

So make it a simple rule that you will NO LONGER pay for any ringtones on your plan and have fun making your own or download ones that no one will expect... like Hong Kong Phooey or Star Wars! You'll be racking up the savings in no time at all. :)

Little savings add up to big bucks...

Going to the movies with the family nowadays can cost over $50-$60 once you factor in the tickets, popcorn, candy, sodas and gas. Grabbing a movie from Redbox, $1 (or free if you have a code); making popcorn with the family, pennies; being able to get up and take a bathroom break without missing half the movie, PRICELESS!

Plus, home made treats can be cheaper, but tastier than those overpriced candy bars. How about some brownie-ice cream sundaes while watching your favorite flick? A box of brownie mix goes for around $1... less if you have a coupon, and a tub of ice-cream can be purchased for as little as 99c on sale.

All of the new movies end up out on DVD eventually. With a little patience and a switch to some good old fashioned family fun, you can save hundreds of dollars a year by making this little change! (Put all the money you save aside and you could buy yourself a bigger screen TV in no time at all if you choose!)

BTW, You guys must be a lot richer than I thought... Thank you to all the readers who have "come out" thus far for the giveaway! I was super excited. However, there are still many of you that are just blog stalking. Out of 243 unique visitors since I posted this, I have only had 39 comments, and a lot of those are duplicates.

Don't be shy or proud ladies!!!! It's a free $20! Think of it, maybe you can use coupons and get a stack of stuff for nothing... or maybe there is something in Target that you have wanted for yourself but couldn't justify that you could buy with this little gift card.

Either way, you are crazy not to enter. So click here and leave me a comment today!! :)
